TCS CHOOSES NT OVER NETWARE FOR `EX NEW GEN'
Article Abstract:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to bundle EX New Gen, its next generation accounting package, with Microsoft's database server and Windows NT platform. TCS had bundled Ex 3.0, the older version of the accounting package, with Novell's Netware. Microsoft can now move into the small and medium enterprise market as adoption of EX New Gen will mean the adoption of Windows NT. Novell, which has a 56 percent share of the market in India, is slowly losing ground to Microsoft's Windows NT. TCS has decided to use Microsoft's product as the growth of NT and SQL server as a standard has been very commendable. (khr)
